300 Tarps sent to Haiti

We sent 300 tarps to Haitian families who were badly affected by the earthquake in August 2021. Many houses are still in bad shape post earthquake, some have crumbled walls, leaving the house exposed to wind and rain. Not only that, right after the earthquake, Hurricane Grace hit Haiti with torrential downpour and heavy wind storms, causing even further damage to the already beaten down country.

Most houses, in fact, need a complete rebuild. However, as these are low-income families who earn $2-3 a week, building a new home is not really an option. It costs around $5000-$6000 for a new home, and that’s something we would like to help them with along with your support.

For now, the tarps we have sent will help provide a temporary relief for those households, allowing them to continue taking care of their families as best as they can given those circumstances.

Please continue to pray for those families.
